Got Preschoolers? 10 Twin Cities Spots to Entertain & Educate

This was supposed to be the fall I was finally down to one kid at home during the day. My preschooler and I planned to see her three older sibs off at the bus stop each morning and then stroll home to spend all that quality one-on-one time she’s been waiting her whole short life for. We were also going to tackle the list (below) of kid-centric activities around town that I’ve kept in my back pocket since my oldest could toddle. Alas, those plans have been put on hold as I made the decision to dive headlong into the world of homeschooling. That story aside, September has found me scrambling around trying to establish a new routine with a fourth-grader and a preschooler in tow. Happily, I’ve found that many of the preschool activities in my arsenal overlap with some great educational opportunities for my homeschooler — so while it’s not quite the undivided attention I’d hoped to lavish on my almost-three-year-old, we’re still out and about having fun together. Let me share some of my favorite places to take preschoolers — and I’ll mention where it’s absolutely appropriate to bring older siblings as well. Please note that all of the following activities take place on weekdays. For more inspiration on where to take the entire family on the weekend, visit our Family Fun Calendar.
