Details: Celebrate a world of wonder and imagination at CTC’s FREE open house event. Take backstage tours and a Theatre Arts Training Class, play with puppets used in the current main stage show The Snowy Day, hear stories, learn dance moves, and more!

Rice & Arlington Batting Cages @ 1500 Rice St, St. Paul • noon-8pm
Details: Batter up and train for baseball season with special prices for Presidents Day – $1/token for 22 pitches.

Minnesota Children’s Museum: Rigamajigs, Ramps and Eric Carle, 10 W Seventh St, St. Paul • 9am-4pm • $9.95/pp
Details: Normally closed Mondays during the school year, the MCM opens its doors for play on Presidents Day. Discover what a “rigamajig” is and use it, along with your imagination, to engineer an amazing creation. Plus, visit the storybook world of Eric Carle in the new exhibit Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit.

Details: During the chilly months, heat in the field house is turned on to 55 degrees for fun with inflatables, slides, nets and lots of space to run the kids ragged.

Pavilion Play Place @ Hopkins Pavilion, 11000 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins • 9-10:30am & 10:30am-noon • $3/child, caregivers free
Details: Through Feb. 24, Play Place is a drop-in program where kids ages 9 mon-5 years can play with equipment including balls, crawl tunnels, bounce houses, blocks, and more.
